A leading local authority in Scotland is seeking a MAPPA Co-ordinator to support public protection efforts through strategic and operational collaboration. At Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP), we are committed to public protection. Our team aims to mitigate risks presented by individuals subject to public protection processes through multi-agency collaboration.
The MAPPA Co-ordinator role is both strategic and operational, supporting and advising Responsible Authorities on the operation of MAPPA within their geographical area.
Candidates must have working knowledge of the MAPPA process and operational experience, preferably at management level, working with sex offenders and violent offenders in social work, police, Scottish Prison Services, health services, or similar agencies.
Excellent analytical and administrative skills are essential, along with experience in delivering training.
Applicants should be educated to diploma or degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject. Please refer to the Person Specification for detailed qualifications, skills, knowledge, and competencies.
Membership of the PVG Scheme is required upon appointment, and candidates will need to cover the cost of membership or scheme checks.
This role is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
