Job summary

Dorchester Collection is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer for 45 Park Lane and Mayfair Park Residences. You’ll lead the Engineering team to ensure safety, compliance, and exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting.

You’ll drive cost control, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across maintenance practices, partnering with senior leadership to deliver top-tier service 24/7. A strong engineering background in luxury hospitality is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality environment.
• ONC/HNC or City & Guilds in Engineering or Building Services, mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
• Extensive experience in areas such as construction, plumbing, carpentry, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Engineering maintenance is compliant with legislation, protects public safety and hotel equipment is up to standard.
• Mobilize and inspire the Engineering team to build a high performing team to ensure guests receive the best experience.
• Manage operational costs and profitability and drive improvement in guest satisfaction; monitor and improve Engineering practices, policies and procedures to ensure 24/7 operation.
