Job summary

Cheval Gloucester Park in London’s South Kensington seeks a Maintenance Engineer to support a luxury serviced apartment property. You will report to the Chief Engineer, maintain building services, and supervise a small team of assistant engineers to ensure safety and top standards across apartments and public areas.

You will manage reactive and planned maintenance, water hygiene checks, fire alarm and emergency lighting testing, contractor supervision, stock control, and apartment readiness

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in hospitality or serviced apartments.
• Strong fault-finding and hands-on skills.
• Experience supervising junior engineers or maintenance team members.
• Commitment to health and safety and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across building services and public areas.
• Conducting water hygiene checks and testing fire alarms and emergency lighting.
• Supervising contractors and coordinating stock and tools.
• Performing apartment readiness inspections and maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Contributing to an emergency call-out rota and supporting sister properties when needed.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and Cheval Collection procedures.
