Job summary

Mount Hall Care Home, part of Bupa, is seeking an Assistant Chef / 2nd Chef to support our kitchen in Bollington. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents and help maintain high hygiene standards in a busy care-home kitchen.

You will train and manage junior kitchen staff, plan menus with dietary needs, and ensure meals are served with care. This permanent role offers a £1000 welcome bonus and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fresh food kitchen with hygiene certificates.
• Ability to deliver varied, nutritious menus respecting dietary needs.
• Strong team communication and ability to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Create varied and nutritious menus in line with dietary needs.
• Offer ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience.
• Train and manage kitchen staff in prepping, cooking and serving.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, budgets, orders and deliveries.
• Cater for special events or seasonal activities.
