Bupa Cottenham Court Care Home in Cambridgeshire is seeking an Assistant Chef to join a caring kitchen team. The role involves preparing varied, nutritious meals for residents, matching dietary needs and preferences while maintaining high hygiene standards.

You will help create a warm, home-from-home dining experience and support the kitchen team across prep, cooking and serving. The role requires a passion for cooking, experience in fresh-food kitchens, and relevant hygiene certificates.

• A passion for cooking with previous experience working in a fresh food kitchen.

• Committed to delivering high-quality dining experiences for residents.

Responsibilities

• Create varied and nutritional menus in line with residents' dietary needs.
• Contribute ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience and help residents feel at home.
• Train and manage the kitchen team in prepping, cooking and serving food.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, budgets, orders and deliveries.
• Cater for special events or seasonal activities as required.
