Job summary

Bupa is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Chef for our care home kitchen. You will cook nutritious meals using fresh ingredients, tailor menus to residents' dietary needs, and help deliver a home-from-home dining experience.

With prior fresh-food kitchen experience and relevant hygiene certificates, you will train and lead the kitchen team, ensure HACCP compliance, manage orders and support seasonal events, all while upholding high culinary standards.

Qualifications

• Passion for cooking and experience in a fresh food kitchen.
• Relevant hygiene certificates are required.
• Enjoy creating varied, nutritious menus and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals from fresh ingredients for residents.
• Train and manage the kitchen team in prep, cooking and serving.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, budgets, and orders/deliveries.
• Contribute ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience and make residents feel at home.
