Job summary

Bupa's Bank Stamford Care Home in London is seeking an Assistant Chef to support a resident-focused dining program. You will prepare meals, create varied menus in line with dietary needs, and help residents feel at home with thoughtful, tasty options.

You will train and manage the kitchen team, maintain COSHH and HACCP standards, handle orders and deliveries, and contribute to events and celebrations for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• A passion for cooking with experience in a fresh food kitchen.
• Relevant hygiene certificates and food safety knowledge.
• Ability to train and manage kitchen staff while delivering high-quality meals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals with fresh ingredients.
• Train and supervise kitchen team in prep, cooking and serving.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines and company policies.
• Manage orders, budgeting and deliveries for the kitchen.
• Cater for special events and seasonal activities as required.
