About The Role

As an Assistant Chef, you will be responsible for cooking and serving nutritious, healthy meals that Residents will love. You’ll support our First Chef, taking charge in their absence. Whether managing food stock, working within your budget, coaching colleagues, or supervising kitchen clean-up, Resident wellbeing will always be your priority.

HC-One is looking for an Assistant Chef with at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. Beyond qualifications, we value your positive energy, ability to get along with people, organization skills, and attention to detail. You should be able to follow recipes accurately and communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. It is important that you can recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the procedures for reporting concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training as needed.
