Edinburgh University Men’s Hockey Club (EUMHC) are seeking an enthusiastic, driven coach to assist the Performance Development Head Coach in leading the Performance Development Squad’s (2XI/3XI) training sessions, and to be the matchday lead for the 3XI.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a group of talented athletes playing in BUCS Scotland 1 & 2, and Scottish Hockey Regional League 1 & 2, as well as the BUCS and Reserve Cups.
Applicants should have experience in playing or coaching hockey to a high level, as well as good player management skills. Applicants should be dedicated and able to promote and solidify high standards within the squad. Coaching applicants must have obtained a Scottish Hockey Level 1 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent) and have a real desire for the personal development of athletes in a performance environment.
This part time role will include assisting the Performance Development Head Coach for two training sessions per week (Mondays and Thursdays) as well as being the match day lead for the majority of the 3XI’s Scottish Hockey (Saturdays; Regional League 2) and BUCS (Wednesdays; Scotland 2) matches.
