The Genuine Dining Co. in Immingham is seeking an energetic Assistant General Manager to support daily cafe operations, lead a small team, and assist the General Manager with hands-on and admin tasks.

You’ll shape guest experiences, ensure food and beverage quality, and help manage opening/closing, stock, and compliance, all while maintaining our standards of service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or café leadership role (team leader or supervisor ideal).
• Proficient with MS Office; Saffron is a bonus.
• Skilled in coffee preparation and customer service.
• Confident managing a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic food handling knowledge; Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate a plus.
• Organised and comfortable with light admin duties.
• Attention to detail; hands-on approach.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: manage daily cafe operations, opening/closing, food prep, and cleanliness.
• Barista Duties: prepare coffee and hot drinks to order with speed and consistency.
• Leadership and Management: lead, motivate, and manage a team.
• Sales and Profitability: support GM in driving sales and profitability.
• Customer Service: provide friendly and efficient service to staff and visitors.
• Food Service: work with in-house chefs to ensure smooth prep and service.
• Events & Hospitality: support events and hospitality when needed.
• Admin Support: assist GM with stock, ordering, compliance checks, and basic reporting.
• Operational Excellence: maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and food hygiene.
• POS: support till operations and basic financial procedures.
