Compass Group UK&I is seeking an experienced Assistant Cafe Manager to oversee Costa operations on a full-time basis, 40 hours per week, in Cambridge. The role focuses on delivering exceptional food experiences and world-class service while supporting inventory, budgets, and staff development.

Shift patterns are 5 out of 7 days, with opportunities to advance within the company. The successful candidate will lead from the front, manage tills, process payments, and uphold the Costa brand.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Liaising between the team and manager to ensure we continually exceed expectations.
• Motivating the team to keep everyone on task.
• Assisting the manager with managing inventories, monitoring budgets and implementing action plans.
• Managing the tills and processing payments.
• Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to make sure everyone can excel in their role.
• Assisting with paperwork when required.
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
