Job summary

Jewson in Peterborough is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager who is passionate about delivering great service. You will work with the Branch Manager to lead a small team, ensure excellent customer experience, and develop local relationships.

Based in the Peterborough area, you will understand health and safety, stock control, and operational processes, while driving sales growth and coordinating deliveries to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an operational role is essential.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and compliance.
• Strong communication to provide great customer service.
• A passion for customer service.
• Ability to build, develop and maintain relationships.
• Industry knowledge of building materials advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success.
• Get to know our product lines and services to make the most of all customer interactions.
• Develop great relationships with new and existing Customers (face to face and over the phone) and provide proactive advice and solutions.
• Understand the local market to support plans for sales growth.
• Use in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
• Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts.
• Lead your team to prioritise Health & Safety and keep everyone safe at work.
