Job summary

Jewson Weston-super-Mare is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager who delivers outstanding service and drives sales growth. You will support the Branch Manager, lead a responsive team, and nurture strong relationships with customers both in person and over the phone.

You will become proficient with product lines and local market dynamics to enhance customer outcomes. Your role emphasizes service excellence, stock control, health & safety, and efficient delivery coordination in a busy branch

Qualifications

• Proven background in sales with a track record of meeting/exceeding targets.
• Strong communication to provide excellent customer service.
• A passion for customer service and client satisfaction.
• Ability to build, develop and maintain relationships.
• Building materials industry knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as first line support to the Branch Manager and lead the team.
• Know product lines to maximise customer interactions.
• Develop relationships with customers face-to-face and by phone.
• Understand local market to support sales growth plans.
• Use in-house systems to process orders and organise deliveries.
• Maintain stock levels and conduct regular stock counts.
• Lead the team on Health & Safety compliance.
