Job summary

Jewson, part of STARK Building Materials UK, is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in the Minehead area who’s passionate about delivering great service.

You will lead the branch team to meet sales targets, build strong relationships with customers both in person and by phone, and ensure efficient delivery and stock control. This is a full-time on-site role with ample opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Proven background in Sales with a track record of exceeding targets.
• Strong communication to deliver great customer service.
• Passion for customer service and building relationships.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers.
• Industry knowledge of building materials is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team.
• Learn product lines to maximise customer interactions.
• Develop relationships with customers face-to-face and over the phone, providing proactive advice.
• Gain understanding of the local market to support sales growth.
• Use in-house systems to process orders, organise deliveries, and update customers.
• Maintain stock levels with regular stock counts.
• Lead the team to prioritise Health & Safety at work.

Jewson is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for an Assistant Branch Manager who’s as passionate about great service as we are.

Hours: 7_:00am - 16:30pm or 7:30am - 17:00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm_

Location: Jewson, Mart Road, TA24 5AU

Key Responsibilities

• Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success.
• Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions.
• Develop great relationships with new and existing Customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible.
• Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth.
• Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
• Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts.
• Lead your team to make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven background in Sales with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication to be able to provide great customer service.
• A passion for customer service.
• An ability to build, develop and maintain relationships.
• Industry experience / knowledge of building materials would be advantageous.
