Job summary

Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Grimsby to lead the team, deliver excellent customer service, and manage stock and operations at Unit H Grimsby West. This role requires flexibility to support in various branch functions and some supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Flexible approach to work; willing to support across branch functions.
• Experience in builder's merchant or building materials preferred.
• Some supervisory experience in retail or merchant environment.
• Forklift experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Act as first line support to the Branch Manager and lead the team.
• Provide excellent customer experience and build relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Process customer orders by phone and in person.
• Pick items for customer orders for collection or delivery.
• Check stock deliveries and tidy the stock area.
• Develop knowledge of products and services for effective customer interaction.
• Maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
• Keep stock levels with regular counts and checks.

07:30am – 17:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success.
• Provide an excellent customer experience, maintaining strong effective relationships with both local customers and suppliers.
• Process customer orders both over the phone and in person
• Pick items to fulfil customer orders ready for collection or delivery.
• Check incoming stock deliveries and put away in appropriate area.
• Getting to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions.
• Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone).
• Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts.
• Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work.

Required Skills And Experience

• A flexible approach to work; happy to support in various departments within the branch.
• Previous experience within a builder's merchant or with building materials, but not essential.
• Some supervisory experience in a retail or merchant environment.
• Previous forklift experience, although training will be provided.
