Duties and Responsibilities

As Assistant Bars Manager, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following areas:

• Focus on the rejuvenation of the beverage experience.
• Constantly assess and review beverage products and services to remain relevant, innovative, and aligned with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
• Regularly review adherence to LQA standards through my physical presence in the department.
• Ensure an exceptional guest experience service.
• Carry out service recovery or empower hosts to do so in case of guest complaints.
• Inspect department and guest orders regularly, ensuring maintenance and product improvements are addressed within the designated timeframe.
• Lead a team of engaged and experienced hosts to uphold the Six Senses standards of service.
• Maintain full knowledge of menus, specials, and wine list, and be able to recommend wines in the absence of a sommelier.
• Stay updated on industry trends and practices to enhance product and service offerings.

Qualifications

To perform as Assistant Bars Manager, candidates should have the necessary qualifications, skills, and experience in a similar role within luxury hotels, with proven results, including:

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1-3 years’ bartender experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. A hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized institution is preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are preferred.
• Experience in cocktail-making, beverage service, garnishing, with excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks.
• Familiarity with food and beverage terminology, operations, wine service, cost control, menu development, hygiene standards, and inventory management.
