De Vere Wokefield Estate in Reading is recruiting an Assistant Bar Manager to support and guide our team of Bar Tenders. Our Bar Team plays a key role in ensuring our guests have a memorable and enjoyable visit to the hotel.

As the Assistant Bar Manager, you will support the Bar Manager, take a lead role in creating and serving drinks, engage with guests daily, develop team skills, and maintain the bar area’s cleanliness and stock levels.

In return, this role offers £28,500 per annum and excellent benefits including free gym use, a complimentary 2-night stay with De Vere annually (additional stays for £50 per room), time off over Christmas, and a paid day off for your birthday. The role involves working various shifts, including weekends on a rota.

Your skills & experience:

• Bar experience at Supervisor level or above
• Confident, guest-focused, and able to deliver exceptional service
• Organized, professional, and effective delegator
• Familiarity with booking systems like Open Table is preferred but not essential, as training is provided
