Job summary

V.Ships Leisure is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager on behalf of Orient Express Sailing Yachts. Based aboard luxury vessels, you will support the Bar Manager in supervising the multi-site bar department and day-to-day operations to enhance service and profitability.

Role requires upholding USPH protocols, training staff, and maintaining Orient Express’ high service standards while ensuring grooming and teamwork across departments on board.

Qualifications

• Fluent English plus one additional international language required.
• High school degree or hospitality-related training; STCW certificates.
• Shipboard experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for upholding USPH protocols at all bars.
• Trains and supervises staff to perform duties properly.
• Establishes work schedules and staff duties; maintain team spirit.
• Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner and reflect brand standards.
• Lead by example and participate in onboard training programs.
