Soho House is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager in the United Kingdom to support the Bar Manager in leading day-to-day bar operations and delivering a premium beverage service that enhances the member experience.

You will ensure licensing, health and safety compliance, support commercial and creative goals, and manage a fast-paced bar environment with a focus on exceptional guest service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in similar capacity.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure.
• Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in Staff Management: Support the Bar Manager in recruiting, training, and supervising bar staff.
• Operational Oversight: Assist in day-to-day operations including opening/closing procedures and maintaining cleanliness.
• Customer Service Excellence: Lead by example in delivering exceptional service and handling inquiries or complaints promptly.
• Inventory Management: Assist in managing bar inventory, ordering supplies, monitoring stock, and reducing waste.
• Menu Development and Pricing: Collaborate to develop and price beverages and create signature cocktails.
• Financial Management: Support in monitoring revenue, expenses, budgeting, forecasting, and cost savings.
• Training and Development: Coordinate training sessions on products, service standards, and safety.
• Maintaining Relationships: Build relationships with suppliers and vendors for high-quality products.
