Job summary

Soho House in Oxford seeks an Assistant Bar Manager to support the Bar Manager in leading daily bar operations, delivering premium beverage service that enhances the member experience. You will ensure licensing, health and safety compliance and support business goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar capacity.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and remain calm under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable and passionate about customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in staff management: recruit, train and supervise bar staff and provide feedback.
• Oversee day-to-day bar operations, opening/closing procedures and hygiene compliance.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and handle inquiries or complaints promptly.
• Assist with inventory, supplier relationships and cost control.
• Collaborate on menu development, pricing and beverage offerings.
• Support in budgeting, forecasting and financial performance tracking.
• Coordinate ongoing training and professional development for the team.
