Job summary

Crowne Plaza Glasgow is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager to lead daily bar operations, maintain high standards of service and drive profitability. You will implement cost controls, forecast bar performance and ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety procedures.

This role offers 40 hours per week across five days, with shifts to suit business needs. Apprenticeships and brand-led training are available, and Valor Hospitality supports career progression.

£29,785.60 per annum. 40 hours per week across 5 days.

You will have experience of implementing and maintaining control measures to ensure that bar costs, productivity, labour costs and operating supply costs for the outlet are in line with budget.

To carry out Duty Management shifts according to business needs. To participate in departmental meetings to review progress towards achievement of business plan goals.

An Assistant Bar Manager is responsible for the daily management of the bar outlets, ensuring that the highest standards of food and beverage service are provided to the guests.

The Assistant Bar Manager plans, organizes and directs the overall Bar operation, Administration, Marketing and Promotion of the outlet, and is responsible and accountable for its profitability and revenue generation.

You have good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety procedures.

Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for Bar service.

Ensure clear communication with the Food and Beverage Manager, Head Chef, Conference and Events Manager and Operations Manager.

We are open 7 days a week 365 days a year and need people to work a range of shifts and days - this means great flexibility if required. We are busier generally during evenings and weekends but shift patterns and contracted hours can all be discussed at interview.
