An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work within the Audiology Department at Worcester Royal Hospital & Alexandra Hospital Redditch. The role will be shared over both sites. This is a full‑time positional of 37.5 hours 4‑5 days a week depending on clinical need. However we would consider applicants who can offer at least 32 hours a week.
We are seeking a confident individual with a professional front‑of‑house manner and the ability to organise workload.
The successful candidate will support the Audiologists by performing hearing aid repairs, stock control and answering patients' enquiries.
Accurate recording of patient details and appointments is also required. Occasional travel around the county to other departments such as Kidderminster Hospital may also be required.
The successful candidate will be prepared to undertake additional training required to acquire the Audiology Assistant Basic Certificate course. This would require travel to Trafford Hospital Manchester. Three days a month for five months hence flexibility to attend this course is essential.

Job Purpose: To assist the audiologist in the performance of their duties; to perform range of routine tasks, including patient preparation and routine equipment maintenance; to undertake servicing and programming of replacement hearing aids and contribute to the patients rehabilitation programme; to undertake administrative and clerical duties involved in the day‑to‑day running of the department; to participate in maintaining a safe working environment.
