Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking an Assistant Accounts Manager in Holmfirth to oversee client portfolios, review statutory and management accounts prepared by junior staff, and ensure deadlines are met with high-quality work.

You will mentor trainees, build strong client relationships, and work with senior management on engagements within a growing independent practice offering hybrid working and clear progression to Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong understanding of accounts preparation and client management.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and act as a key point of contact.
• Review statutory accounts and management accounts prepared by junior team members.
• Ensure client deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard.
• Support, mentor, and develop trainees and junior staff.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assist with resolving technical accounting queries.
• Work closely with senior management on client engagements and advisory projects.
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of the accounts department.
