Job summary

Howett-Thorpe Recruitment Consultants Limited seeks an experienced Accounts Senior aiming to progress to Accounts Manager within a growing practice. The role handles a varied client portfolio, reviews work, and supports delivery from start to finish.

You will supervise junior staff, liaise with Managers and Partners, and develop advisory skills as you take on increasing responsibility. Hybrid working, 25 days holiday and ongoing professional development accompany the opportunity to advance

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification.
• Strong UK accountancy practice experience.
• Experience reviewing accounts and working papers.
• Experience reviewing corporation tax computations.
• Experience supervising, supporting or developing junior team members.
• Confident using CCH or similar accountancy software.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients, including groups.
• Reviewing statutory accounts and working papers.
• Reviewing more complex accounts under FRS 102.
• Reviewing draft corporation tax computations.
• Supervising, supporting and developing junior team members.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients.
• Advising clients on accounting matters and supporting broader requirements.
• Managing assignment deadlines, budgets and workflow.
• Working closely with Managers and Partners on complex assignments.
• Taking on increasing responsibility for the team and client portfolio as you develop.
