Job summary

Byron Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Accountant based in Sutton, Surrey, with hybrid working. You will support day-to-day accounting activities and deliver accurate financial information across the business.

You'll handle bank reconciliations, journal postings, and month-end processes, maintaining GL integrity and balance sheet accounts, while assisting monthly management reporting, variance analysis and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Must be AAT, ACCA or CIMA part qualified.
• Previous experience within a finance/accounting environment.
• Strong reconciliation and general ledger skills.
• Good attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Experience supporting month-end and management reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Bank reconciliations.
• Transaction processing.
• Journal postings.
• Month-end activities.
• Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and key balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with monthly management reporting, variance analysis and KPI reporting.
• Support audit requirements and financial controls.
• Contribute to finance projects.
