Assistant Accountant, Client Reconciliation

An Assistant Accountant will play a key role in the preparation and reconciliation of client funds, ensuring that customer and company funds are accurately reflected in the accounts.

The Finance department comprises over 100 team members working in an exciting, dynamic environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your finance skillset within an innovative and growing team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager within the territories team, you will assist with preparing and reconciling client funds, ensuring compliance with all financial regulatory requirements in an accurate and timely manner.

This position requires weekend work approximately once every four weeks, with occasional bank holidays. It is eligible for the company's hybrid work-from-home policy.

You must provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from your first day of employment.

• Studying towards AAT Level 2 or relevant experience in a busy finance department.

Main Responsibilities

• Extracting data from payment providers and banks to facilitate reconciliation.
• Importing transactions using reconciliation software, ensuring controls and processes are followed.
• Supporting the reconciliation team to produce accurate, timely financial reconciliations, investigating variances.
• Maintaining logs of unreconciled transactions and liaising with stakeholders to correct accounts, ensuring clean reconciliations.
• Managing the reconciliation mailbox, responding to queries promptly.
• Gaining in-depth knowledge of company terminology and processes.
• Completing ad hoc tasks as required.
