Job summary

RG Consultancy Ltd is seeking an Assistant Accountant in Deeside to join a growing team and work closely with the directors. The role offers real input beyond day-to-day numbers and a chance to shape the finance function’s development.

You will support day-to-day accounting activities, month-end and year-end tasks, and assist with forecasting and budgeting in a hands-on role with exposure to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting day-to-day accounting functions including ledgers, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Experience with VAT, payroll and compliance tasks is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with directors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting from purchase and sales ledgers, credit control to bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes.
• Prepare management accounts and reports for the directors.
• Help with VAT returns, payroll, and other compliance work.
• Work closely with directors on forecasting, budgeting and decisions.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Contribute to process improvements as the business grows.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the day-to-day accounting function, from purchase and sales ledgers, credit control to bank reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
• Preparing management accounts and supporting reports for the directors
• Helping with VAT returns, payroll, and other compliance work
• Working closely with the directors on forecasting, budgeting, and business decisions
• Building relationships with customers and suppliers
• Getting involved in process improvements as the business grows

A genuinely hands-on role with direct exposure to senior leadership
