Job summary

Swift Temps are recruiting an Accountant for our client based in Deeside. A fast growing design and manufacturing business.

Responsibilities include running day-to-day processing, owning ledgers, preparing management accounts and project costings, and overseeing month/ year-end activities. Strong experience with CIS and VAT, Sage 50, and robust financial controls is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with CIS and VAT domestic reverse charge.
• Sage 50 experience essential.

Job description

Swift Temps are recruiting an Accountant for our client based in Deeside. A fast growing design and manufacturing business.

The Role

an experienced accounts candidate to take ownership of the finance function and sit alongside the leadership team.

• Run the day-day processing, own the ledgers and turn data into the management accounts, project costings.
• Input and control all purchase invoices, sales invoices and bank posting in Sage 50 Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls
• Maintain AP & AR ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timelines
• Raise proformas and sales invoices for orders and projects
• Load supplier payment schedules and issue remittance advice
• Prepare payroll inputs (timesheets, overtime, expenses)
• Manage credit limits and insurance limits
• Own credit control end to end- chase outstanding payments
• Manage debtor days and escalation overdue accounts
• Resolve invoice queries
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including P & L, balance sheets
• Lead month end and year end
• Produce stock valuation reporting in conjunction with operations stock counts
• Produce project costings for live and completed jobs
• Identify margin erosion and cost overuns early
• Manage relationships with contractors
• Negotiate variations with contractors
• Confront and resolve site delays

We are looking for:

• Qualified or part qualified accountant, AAT, ACCA, CIMA, proven experience with CIS and the VAT domestic reverse charge.
• Sage 50 experience essential, ambitious and driven, highly organised, accurate and comfortable owning the numbers with minimal supervision.
