Job summary

RG Consultancy in Deeside is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the team and work closely with the directors.

You will manage day-to-day ledgers, assist with month-end, VAT, payroll, and reports for the directors, with exposure to forecasting and budgeting as the business grows. This hands-on role offers real input into shaping the finance function, with competitive salary and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting from purchase and sales ledgers to bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes.
• Prepare management accounts and reports for the directors.
• Help with VAT, payroll and other compliance work.
• Collaborate with directors on forecasting, budgeting and business decisions.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Contribute to process improvements as the business grows.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the day-to-day accounting function, from purchase and sales ledgers, credit control to bank reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
• Preparing management accounts and supporting reports for the directors
• Helping with VAT returns, payroll, and other compliance work
• Working closely with the directors on forecasting, budgeting, and business decisions
• Building relationships with customers and suppliers
• Getting involved in process improvements as the business grows

A genuinely hands-on role with direct exposure to senior leadership
