Job summary

RG Consultancy in Wakefield is seeking an assistant accountant/junior management accountant to join the finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role reports to the financial director and operates in a busy finance department.

This is an office‑based role with an early finish on Fridays. You will work in an open-plan office alongside several departments, creating a lively, collaborative atmosphere.

Qualifications

• CIS experience would be an advantage but not essential.
• Strong MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Full end to end purchase ledger duties including BACs payments, weekly payment runs and matching.
• Supplier statements
• CIS returns, processing staff expenses
• Bank reconciliations
• Assisting with month end duties such as accruals, prepayments and journals
• Assisting with monthly management accounts
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations
• Other adhoc duties as the role grows/develops over time
