Job summary

Forge Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established South Manchester business for an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is office-based five days per week, with immediate availability or a 1-week notice period.

The successful candidate will support month-end processes, manage supplier invoices and payment runs, assist with management accounts and contribute to cost analysis and financial reporting while working closely with senior finance

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger or Finance Assistant roles.
• Immediate availability or 1 week notice period.
• Exposure to month-end duties including accruals and prepayments.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• AAT, ACCA or CIMA studies would be advantageous but not essential.

Assistant Management Accountant | 12-Month FTC | South Manchester | Up to £32,000

We're working with a well-established South Manchester business to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The ideal candidate must be happy working fully office-based, five days per week and be immediately available or on a notice period of no more than 1 week.

This role has been created to provide cover whilst also strengthening the wider finance function. The successful candidate will join a small finance team and work closely with senior finance leadership, gaining exposure across both transactional and management accounting activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing Accounts Payable activities, supplier invoices and payment runs
• Supporting month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and journals
• Assisting with management accounts preparation
• Performing reconciliations and investigating variances
• Supporting cost analysis and financial reporting
• Assisting with payroll administration where required

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or Finance Assistant background
• Must be immediately available or 1 week notice period
• Exposure to month-end duties including accruals and prepayments
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
• AAT, ACCA or CIMA studies would be advantageous but are not essential
