Pure Resourcing Solutions Limited is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant on a fixed-term basis to join our finance team in England. You will work across monthly management accounts, payroll analysis, stock accounting and operational finance.

Ideal candidates are AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA, with experience in a finance environment, strong Excel and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or progress towards ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience in a finance or accounting environment.
• Knowledge of month-end processes and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations and management reporting.
• Take ownership of monthly overtime and bonus calculations, ensuring information is accurate, appropriately authorised and submitted on time.
• Work closely with operational and payroll teams to investigate queries and ensure accurate financial information.
• Prepare and maintain stock reporting, reconciling inventory movements and processing stock count information.
• Allocate material and stock costs to the appropriate projects, preparing relevant accounting adjustments where required.
• Provide financial analysis and business partnering support to finance and operational stakeholders across the organisation.
• Review existing financial processes and controls, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and overall effectiveness.

Job description

An established and successful organisation is looking to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team on a fixed-term basis.

This is a varied position offering exposure across management accounts, payroll analysis, stock accounting and operational finance. It would suit someone who is AAT qualified or progressing towards ACCA/CIMA and is looking to continue developing their management accounting experience within a commercially focused environment.

The Role Working closely with the Management Accountant and wider finance function, you will support the production and analysis of financial information for a busy operational division. You will also take responsibility for key elements of payroll-related reporting and work closely with operational stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journals, reconciliations and management reporting.

About You Ideally

• AAT qualification, or be currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA
• Previous experience working within a finance or accounting environment
• Good knowledge of month-end accounting processes
• Experience of reconciliations, journals and financial analysis
• Confidence working with large volumes of financial information
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• A proactive approach to improving processes and ways of working
