Job summary

Forge Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established South Manchester business for an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is office-based five days per week, with immediate availability or a 1-week notice period.

The successful candidate will support month-end processes, manage supplier invoices and payment runs, assist with management accounts and contribute to cost analysis and financial reporting while working closely with senior finance

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger or Finance Assistant roles.
• Immediate availability or 1 week notice period.
• Exposure to month-end duties including accruals and prepayments.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• AAT, ACCA or CIMA studies would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing Accounts Payable activities, supplier invoices and payment runs.
• Supporting month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Assisting with management accounts preparation.
• Performing reconciliations and investigating variances.
• Supporting cost analysis and financial reporting.
• Assisting with payroll administration where required.
• Identifying process improvements and supporting wider finance projects.
