Job summary

Michael Page Finance is seeking an Interim Assistant Management Accountant based in Greater Manchester. The role involves producing monthly accruals and prepayments, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and performing variance analysis to drive improvements.

You will reconcile accounts, assist with month-end and year-end close, and collaborate across departments to provide financial insights. Hybrid working and immediate availability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Part qualified accountant with strong management accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
• Hybrid working arrangement.
• Immediate availability or short notice period.

Profile

A successful Interim Assistant Management Accountant should have:

• Part qualified accountant with strong Management Accounting experience.
• Strong excel skills (including the use of Pivot tables and V-LOOK UPS).
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup.
• Immediately available or able to start their next assignment on a short notice period.

Job Offer

• A competitive hourly rate of £18 - £22 per hour (PAYE), dependent on the level of experience.
