Job summary

THE COLLECTIVE NETWORK LIMITED is recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Peterborough. You will join the Financial Reporting team and support month-end close, reconciliations, VAT, fixed assets and broader financial reporting.

This role offers exposure across finance operations within an established team, with a focus on improving processes and controls and ensuring accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or similar role.
• Experience supporting month-end and reconciliations.
• Good understanding of journals, accruals and prepayments.
• VAT and fixed asset experience.
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• AAT or progress toward professional qualification advantageous.

• Complete bank, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.

The Role

We re working with a successful and growing business to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Working within the Financial Reporting team, you ll support month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, VAT, fixed assets and wider financial reporting activities.
