Job summary

Cainiao Group seeks an Asset & Facility Lifecycle professional to oversee the operation, maintenance, and safety of UK warehouse facilities. You will manage asset intake, monitoring, and disposal while mitigating risk through robust lifecycle governance.

Additionally, you will source and manage vendors, develop cost models, and support openings/closures of sites with cross-functional teams in operations, engineering and procurement. Strong English and Mandarin communication is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in asset management, facility maintenance, or procurement.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (written & spoken), bridging UK teams with headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee asset and facility lifecycle across UK warehouses, ensuring safety and reliability.
• Build and manage a local vendor pool for facilities, engineering and services; evaluate performance.
• Coordinate openings and closures of warehouses, including site surveys, setup and handover.
• Assist procurement processes including demand analysis, RFQs, and contract execution; ensure compliance.

• Asset & Facility Lifecycle Management: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and safety of facilities and equipment across UK warehouses. Manage the full asset lifecycle from intake to disposal, ensuring operational stability and risk mitigation.


• Vendor & Cost Management: Build and manage a local vendor pool for facilities, engineering, and services. Handle vendor sourcing, performance evaluation, and lifecycle management. Develop cost models to optimize procurement decisions and control operational expenses.


• Project Support (Openings & Closures): Coordinate resources for new warehouse openings (site surveys, setup, handover) and closure projects (asset transfer, vendor exit, site reinstatement). Ensure seamless collaboration with operations, engineering, and procurement teams.


• Procurement & Compliance: Assist in procurement processes including demand analysis, RFQs, and contract execution. Manage expense verification and payment compliance. Ensure all facilities and assets meet UK local regulatory standards and safety requirements, handling audits and rectifications.

• Language Skills: Fluent in both English and Mandarin (Written & Spoken) is mandatory. You will act as a key bridge between local UK teams and headquarters.
