Job summary

United Plant Services, a specialist in asset management, is seeking an Asset Manager based in Reading, South East England. The role involves direct interaction with customer sites and Quarry Management teams to deliver exceptional service and support across HME fleets.

You will monitor repairs, manage costs, guide engineers, and collaborate with the in-house Engineering team to uphold high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of plant machinery and Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) applications.
• Experience managing customer concerns and delivering effective resolutions.
• Strong communication across all organisational levels and teams.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with customer sites and Quarry Management teams.
• Monitor quality and service delivery of onsite repairs and maintenance activities.
• Manage asset maintenance costs within budget by identifying cost-effective repair solutions.
• Support managers with customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor machine health using diagnostics, oil analysis, and telematics.
• Provide technical guidance to Call Centre and Service Control teams.
• Assist with onsite rental processes and inspections.
• Promote safety-first culture and drive continuous improvement.
