• Complete breakdown repairs to minimize downtime.
• Accurately complete maintenance records.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE

• Monday-Friday working hours (7:00am-5:00pm)
• Occasional Saturday mornings (7:00am-12:00pm)

The Role

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a fleet of heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults.
• Service and maintain HGVs, material handlers, excavators, loading shovels, crushers, trommels and screening equipment.
• Complete breakdown repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
• Accurately complete maintenance records and service documentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience working on heavy plant, construction plant, quarry equipment, recycling machinery or agricultural equipment.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
• Basic electrical diagnostic knowledge (12v/24v systems desirable).
• Ability to work independently and within a busy engineering team.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (desirable).
