Job summary

Ocean Winds in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Asset Integrity Engineer to lead electrical engineering support across offshore wind assets. You will ensure asset availability, safety, and regulatory compliance while delivering proactive maintenance and fault response for HV/MV equipment, cables, and substation systems.

Reporting to the Head of Asset Integrity, this role requires UK offshore wind knowledge, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work across onshore and offshore sites.

Qualifications

• HV electrical asset operation and maintenance knowledge.
• Familiarity with Grid Code and SQSS for UK projects.
• Experience in offshore wind, utilities, transmission, or large renewables.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules and HV environments.
• GWO offshore training and medical is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead definition and implementation of Asset Integrity Management Strategy.
• Provide technical support to site-based O&M team and warranty management.
• Lead troubleshooting and remote diagnostics for electrical faults.
• Utilise data analysis to monitor asset behaviour and reduce outages.
• Develop maintenance strategies for HV/MV equipment.
• Review inspection results and define corrective actions.
• Interface with OFTO as required.
• Provide high quality reporting to stakeholders.
