Network Rail Scotland is recruiting an Assistant Asset Engineer within the East Area Team to help keep Scotland's railway safe and reliable. You will manage asset types across urban and rural sites, supporting asset management processes and delivery of works on the Forth & Tay Bridges.

We’re looking for proactive, ambitious engineers with strong communication and numerical skills, HNC/HND or equivalent, and significant experience in the discipline.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in relevant engineering discipline.
• Significant experience in relevant engineering discipline.
• Incorporated Engineer is desirable.
• Knowledge of relevant engineering policies and standards.
• An understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and risk assess examination reports for a varied asset portfolio in accordance with functional policy, systems and standards.
• Schedule examinations, inspections, monitoring and assessment of assets.
• Develop asset renewal requirements and oversee design certification/approval.
• Provide engineering support and participate in investigations of incidents.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure optimal risk management solutions.
• Maintain asset data and information in company systems.
