Network Rail's Southern Region is seeking an Asset Engineer Structures to join the Asset Management Team in London Blackfriars. You will own the condition and capacity of Structures, producing remits for maintenance and leading site visits to keep assets safe and reliable for passengers.

You will assess bridges, viaducts and walls, review drawings, and collaborate with design engineers to prioritise remits.

Qualificações

• BSc/BEng or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Substantial relevant experience in structures or civil engineering.
• A sound knowledge of structures engineering policies and standards.
• Portfolio of experience in completing Structural Assessments for various structures such as bridges and walls.
• Understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.
• Working towards membership of a relevant professional institution.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and prioritise maintenance works for various structure types and prioritise actions.
• Utilise risk scoring to identify paramount work in constrained environments.
• Take ownership to monitor structures when maintenance is not immediate.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to optimise engineering activities.
• Carry out structural assessments of railway structures.
• Review as-built drawings to prioritise remits and write detailed instructions.
• Review new designs and challenge solutions with designers and project engineers.
