Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment seeks an Asset Care Manager in Clevedon to lead reliability and performance of plant assets. You will develop asset care strategies to maximise uptime, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Major responsibilities include leading maintenance strategy, developing a proactive culture, and delivering improvements in OEE and asset lifespan. This permanent role offers £55,000–£60,000 plus benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a maintenance or asset care leadership role in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, TPM, or Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) principles.
• Experience managing teams and driving cultural change.
• Background in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Confident using maintenance systems and data to inform decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site’s asset care and maintenance strategy.
• Drive a proactive maintenance culture, moving from reactive to preventative and predictive approaches.
• Manage and develop a team of maintenance engineers and technicians.
• Deliver improvements in OEE, reliability, and asset lifespan.
• Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Implement and optimise CMMS.
