Job summary

A leading international law firm in Birmingham is seeking a Finance Lawyer (3-7 PQE) to join its growing Finance team. This permanent, full-time role offers exposure to high-value financing, with a focus on asset-based lending and receivables financing.

Key duties include advising lenders, borrowers and investors on complex transactions, drafting and negotiating finance documentation, and developing strong client relationships across domestic and cross-border matters.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 3-7 years' PQE in banking and finance.
• Experience advising on asset-based lending and/or receivables financing.
• Broad knowledge of finance transactions and related documents.
• Experience acting for lenders, borrowers or other market participants.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and technical legal skills.
• Commercial, practical and client-focused with collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise lenders, borrowers and investors on domestic and international finance deals.
• Work on bilateral facilities, syndicated lending and multi-jurisdictional financings.
• Support acquisition, real estate, corporate lending, securitisation and debt capital markets.
• Draft, negotiate and review finance documents and ancillary papers.
• Engage with banks, asset-based lenders and debt funds.
• Collaborate with national and international Finance teams.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
