Job summary

Everpool Recruitment is seeking a WCA Functional Assessor to continue clinical work in a primarily advisory capacity. You will perform phone and face-to-face assessments, review medical evidence, and prepare objective reports for the DWP.

The role offers hybrid working across the South of England with a starting salary of £50,000 rising to £51,000 after 12 months, plus training and annual bonuses, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Active NMC or HCPC registration is required.
• At least 1 year of relevant post-registration experience.
• Experience in adult clinical settings and report writing.

As a WCA Functional Assessor, you’ll assess how health conditions affect a person’s ability to work. You’ll conduct phone and face-to-face assessments, review medical evidence and health questionnaires, and produce accurate, objective reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). No hands‑on care required.

Your package

• £50,000 starting salary, rising to £51,000 after 12 months
• Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm

Who can apply?

• Registered Adult Nurses (Adult, Mental Health, Learning Disability or General)
• Adult-focused Occupational Therapists
• Adult-focused Physiotherapists
• At least 1 year of recent post‑registration experience in a relevant adult setting
• At least 1 year of active professional registration
• Strong communication, assessment, typing, IT and report‑writing skills
• Full UK right to work — sponsorship is not available

No previous Functional Assessor experience is needed. Your 12‑week training programme will cover assessment techniques, DWP guidelines and professional report‑writing.
