Everpool Recruitment is seeking a WCA Functional Assessor in the United Kingdom. This hybrid role involves conducting phone and face-to-face assessments, reviewing medical evidence, and producing objective reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). No hands‑on care required.

Salary starts at £42,000 and rises to £43,000 after 12 months, with bonuses and a standard 9am–5pm schedule. Training is provided, with opportunities for progression.

WCA Functional Assessor | Hybrid Working | £42,000–£43,000 + Bonuses

Qualified healthcare professionals only: Active NMC or HCPC registration and at least 1 year of relevant post-registration experience required. No applications from non-clinical candidates.

As a WCA Functional Assessor, you’ll assess how health conditions affect a person’s ability to work. You’ll conduct phone and face-to-face assessments, review medical evidence and health questionnaires, and produce accurate, objective reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). No hands‑on care required.

Your package

• £42,000 starting salary, rising to £43,000 after 12 months
• Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
• No nights, weekends or bank holidays

Who can apply?

• Registered Adult Nurses (Adult, Mental Health, Learning Disability or General)
• Adult-focused Occupational Therapists
• Adult-focused Physiotherapists
• At least 1 year of recent post-registration experience in a relevant adult setting
• At least 1 year of active professional registration
• Strong communication, assessment, typing, IT and report-writing skills
• Full UK right to work — sponsorship is not available
• No previous Functional Assessor experience is needed. Your 12‑week training programme will cover assessment techniques, DWP guidelines and professional report writing.
