Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking an Assembly Technician for a market-leading manufacturer in Cumnock. The role offers a 4-day week (Mon-Thu 7:00–17:15) with optional overtime to boost earnings and a salary range of £17.50–£18.50 per hour, plus progression opportunities and company benefits.

You will assemble components for industrial Fire and Rescue equipment and work within a supportive production team, with training provided to upskill on machines and processes.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assembly Technician or similar in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work a four-day week and take overtime when required.
• Ability to commute to Cumnock or be local to the area.

Are you an Assembly Technician or similar looking for a local, varied role within a market-leading manufacturer known for looking after their staff who offer a good work life balance due to a 4 day work week, ongoing development and optional overtime to increase your earnings?

This company specialise in the manufacturing of Fire and Rescue equipment and appliances such as Fire Engines and have loaded to become supply directly to a number of blue-chip customers across the UK. Since their establishment in 1989, they have become market leaders and are now looking to grow their friendly Production team.

In this varied role you will be responsible for carrying out a range of component assembly, production and technical work for specialist vehicles with a range of applications. You will be part of a tight-knit team in addition to liaising with other departments, including machine operatives who will give you training to upskill yourself on machines. This is a Monday-Thursday role working 7am-5:15pm, with optional overtime on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday paid at enhanced rates.

The Role:
