Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Technician in Carmarthen. The role involves mechanical assembly and build of specialist equipment, working from drawings and using hand and power tools.

Full training will be provided in welding and basic electrical skills, enabling skill development across varied projects. You will join an established manufacturer with a days-based Monday-Friday pattern (7am-4:30pm) and overtime opportunities, located in Carmarthen.

Assembly Technician (Mechanical)

Carmarthen

£12.71 - £13.71 per hour + Training + Progression + Overtime + Varied Work + Days Based

Are you a Mechanical Assembler, Fitter or Technician looking for a varied hands‑on role within an established manufacturer, offering full training in welding and electrical, overtime opportunities and the chance to develop your career?

This established manufacturer specialises in the design and production of specialist equipment for a range of customers. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join their manufacturing team and work across a varied range of assembly and build projects.

In this role you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly and build of specialist equipment, working from drawings and using a range of hand and power tools. You will also receive training in welding and basic electrical skills, giving you the opportunity to develop a broader range of engineering skills whilst working across varied projects.

This role would suit a Mechanical Assembler / Fitter / Technician from a manufacturing or engineering background looking for a varied, hands‑on position where they can develop their skills within an established manufacturer.

The Role:

• Mechanical assembly and build of specialist manufactured equipment
• Working from engineering drawings and using hand and power tools
• Varied manufacturing and assembly work across different projects
• Full training provided on welding and basic electrical skills
• Monday-Friday, 7am-4:30pm, with a 1:30pm finish on Fridays
• Overtime available

The Person:

• Mechanical assembly / fitting or similar
• Comfortable using hand and power tools and working from drawings
• Keen to develop welding and electrical skills through training
• Commutable to Carmarthen
