Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Tewkesbury is seeking an Assembly Technician for a 12-month contract to join a specialist manufacturing environment. You will assemble coils, wiring and electronic sub-assemblies with high precision, following drawings and quality procedures.

Training will start on the morning shift before transitioning to the late shift for the contract duration. Requirements include good manual dexterity, attention to detail and the ability to work to exacting standards.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly, manufacturing or production experience.
• Electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical or precision assembly experience would be advantageous.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Soldering, crimping, wiring or cable assembly experience is desirable.
• Ability to work accurately with small components.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform various manual and machine-assisted operations on a range of electronic components, coils and wiring assemblies.
• Carry out a range of assembly and manufacturing activities including; Coil winding, soldering, wire stripping, potting, fabrication, deburring and basic testing.
• Follow engineering drawings, work instructions and quality procedures.
• Remove sharp edges, contamination and imperfections to ensure components meet required standards.
• Support other manufacturing and assembly activities as required.

Contract - 12 Months

£15.00 per hour + 24% Shift Allowance (£18.60 per hour)

Shift: Late Shift (2pm - 10pm)

Full training will be provided on a morning shift before moving onto the late shift for the duration of the contract.
