Job summary

SmartSourcing Ltd in Hertfordshire is seeking Electrical/Mechanical Assemblers on a 12 month contract. You will read and interpret engineering drawings to assemble parts and build mechanical or electrical products, test assemblies, and report faults.

The role requires safe use of hand tools, power tools, and machinery, with a focus on quality and safety compliance. Working hours are Monday-Thursday 8-5 and Friday 8-2:30.

Job description

Assemblers, Ware, Hertfordshire,12 month contract, circa £14 p/hr

Electrical/Mechanical Assemblers are urgently required by our client.

You will be responsible for assembling parts and components to build mechanical or electrical products. Read and interpret engineering drawings, assemble parts and components accurately, test the assembled components and report any faults. You must also ensure that the products meet quality and safety standards.

This role also involves testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing any issues that may arise.

The successful Assembly Technician must be able to work safely and efficiently with hand tools, power tools, machinery, and other equipment. You must also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Working hours Monday-Thursday 8-5. Fridays 8-2.30

  • Assemble components in accordance with technical drawings.
  • Test completed assemblies for correct operation.
