Job summary

Proactive Global in Reading is seeking assembly operatives for immediate starts on a temp-to-perm basis. AM shifts run 6:00am–2:30pm, PM shifts 2:30pm–11:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Duties include assembling products with hand and power tools, mechanical and electrical assembly, basic electrical wiring, and maintaining safe, tidy work areas in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 processes.

Qualifications

• Be a self-starter that can work independently towards set targets and goals.
• Previous assembly experience.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build products using a range of tools and workshop equipment.
• Mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Basic electrical wiring.
• Safe handling of products in line with Health & Safety procedures.
• Ensure equipment is returned to its location and used safely in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Keep the work area and adjacent gangways tidy and obstruction-free.

Our client in Reading is currently for a number of assembly operatives to join the business on a temp to perm basis, both AM and PM shifts available.

AM Shifts

6.00am-2.30pm Monday to Friday

PM Shifts

2.30pm-11.00pm Monday to Friday

Duties

• Assemble and build products using a range of tools and workshop equipment
• Mechanical and electrical assembly
• Basic electrical wiring
• Safe handling of products accordance with the company's Health & Safety procedures.
• Ensure all equipment used in performing the above tasks is returned to its proper location and is used in a safe manner and in accordance to the manufacture guidelines
• To ensure that the work area and adjacent gangways are kept tidy and free from obstruction.
• To be aware of and comply with ISO 9001:2015 processes and procedures where applicableRequired Experience:
